RROLLING RORYInteresting arguments.
Findable again.

An independent index of Rory Sutherland’s talks & tangents

An unreasonable amount of Rory.
Reasonably organised.

Rory Sutherland has a habit of making common sense look poorly thought through. Browse the talks, follow the references or find that bit you’ve been unsuccessfully explaining to someone.

A NOTE FROM ADAM

Curiosity got
out of hand.

Rory can make a discussion about a train ticket uncomfortable for an entire management philosophy. That’s a useful talent.

I wanted somewhere to find the talks, trace the references and get back to a particular argument without replaying an entire interview. So I built this.

Browse when you’re curious. Search when you’re trying to win an argument. Check the source before declaring victory.

Videos run for at least three minutes and feature Rory taking part. YouTube Shorts are excluded. A transcript match is not automatically a confirmed Rory quotation: interviews and panels contain other people's words too.

“Mention checked” means the caption and speaker context have been checked. It doesn't verify the story or study itself. Links marked “Needs review” remain in the index so the uncertainty stays visible.

The reference index began with my Rolling Lists encyclopedia. HackerTube inspired the browsing, and Rory Said helped uncover more appearances. Each source still needs its own checks.
